Brainfinity class

Teachers, send us your Brainfinity class and win a valuable prize!

You can send your Brainfinity class until the beginning of Brainfinity Problem Solving Week.

The unique online event that brings together problem solvers from around the world is approaching. In less than a month (December 7–13), students, teachers, parents, schools and companies will be able to take part in Brainfinity Problem Solving Week, a free online problem solving event for all age groups, where they can expect numerous lectures and workshops held by renowned people from the world of science.

We have a special surprise for teachers! The teacher who sends the best Brainfinity class will win a free one-year membership at the Institute for Contemporary Education (ICE) for next year. The Brainfinity team will also make a selection of lessons they will post on our official YouTube channel as examples of good problem solving classes.

What is a Brainfinity class?

This is another task for problem solvers. If we told you what a Brainfinity class should look like, the magic of problem solving would be lost, right?

Show us your perception of Brainfinity and in what way you apply the Brainfinity principles in your classroom, outdoors, or wherever you choose to give a lesson. We are sure there are no limits to your ideas and we can’t wait to see what you have in store.

All elementary and high school teachers around Serbia and the region can send their Brainfinity classes. We accept individual lessons created by a single teacher, or interdisciplinary ones created by a group of teachers; one teacher/team can submit multiple classes. We suggest that the duration of your Brainfinity class should not exceed 20 minutes.

Prior to the beginning of Brainfinity Problem Solving Week, candidates are required to send their classes in video format (.mp4) to info@brainfinity.org, with the following subject: “The Best Brainfinity Class 2020”. The emails should contain the following information:

  • name and surname of the teacher;
  • teacher’s subject;
  • school;
  • parental consent if children participate in the video.

Practical application of problem solving in teaching

The idea behind this Brainfinity contest is to encourage teachers to not only implement problem solving in their teaching, thus developing the students’ cognitive, digital, socio-emotional and academic competencies, but also to enhance their work by adopting globally-recognized teaching methods.

Free membership at the Institute for Contemporary Education for the creator of the best Brainfinity class

Given that some educators are still not familiar with problem solving, we decided to analyze the best Brainfinity class at the workshop “Best practice examples: What does a Brainfinity class look like”, which will be held online by Brainfinity organizer, professor Ivan Anić, on Wednesday, December 9.

We would like to remind you that the creator of the best Brainfinity class will get free membership at the Institute for Contemporary Education for next year. Also, the Brainfinity team will post other good lessons on the official Brainfinity YouTube channel, allowing others to experience problem solving in teaching.

Enrich your classes with problem solving! Make a video of a problem solving lesson and send it to info@brainfinity.org until the start of Brainfinity Week. We wish you plenty of success!
